Insta360 released its new ultra-flagship 360 camera, the X6, on 12 August 2026 — a Sony custom square-format sensor, 8K one-inch panoramic imaging and a 4nm AI triple-chip architecture, in the tenth year of the company’s panoramic line. The X6 follows the X5, which remains on sale, and it is already the model customers ask about by name.
Action cameras are a demanding category for films and protectors because of where they get used: on helmets, on handlebars, at the edge of a pool, in salt spray and grit. The screen on a 360 camera is small and shallow, so a flat film leaves a lip at the edge where dust collects and the film starts to lift. Our curved-edge HD tempered glass for the Insta360 range is cut 1:1 from the real device with a 2.5D curved edge that follows the screen contour, supplied two pieces per pack, and it covers the X5 and X4.
For the new generation, the practical advice for buyers is the same as every launch cycle: order lens and screen protection against the model list you actually stock rather than a generic “action camera” SKU, and keep a small buffer of the previous generation, because the X5 stays in the market alongside the X6 and existing owners keep buying accessories for it.
Lens and screen protection for the Insta360 range is produced to order. Tell us which models you carry and we will come back with pricing, packing options and lead times.
